Kim Sokola is a creative through and through. For over 15 years he has been working in the Creative industries. He is a trained Graphic Designer, studied in Hamburg and Amsterdam at the Miami Ad School Art Direction and Copywriting. As an Art Director and concept developer he worked for top ad agencies.

Photography and telling stories visually was always fascinating for Kim. Because of this passion he switched the confortable agency chair with the photocamera. He won over 100 awards (ADC, Epica, Midas, One Eyeland, Color Awards, IPA, Moscow Photo Awards ...) and was also selected as one of the 200 best photographers and digital artists worldwide by the renowned magazine Lürzer's Archive.

In 2011 he found with swiss photographer Simon Bolzern, the photography and postproduction studio, simon+kim werbefotografie.ch, based in the beautiful town Lucerne, Switzerland. simon+kim is specialized in conceptual, advertising, people, food, Landscape and postproduction work.  The studio work for national and international clients.

However, producing constantly images for the ad and creative industry, he take the time to travel and take photographs for his own personal work. This website shows photographs about land- and cityscape, places, people, fine art and stories captured visually around the world.

Knowledge also means responsibility, so he gives his expertise further as a speaker, teaches photography at the Zentrum Bildung in Baden, Switzerland and lectured at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts the "Certificates of Advanced Studies" in the field of art direction. Besides photography, Kim is a passionate cook.
